NEW YEAR CAMP
-
is “the First destination – it’s where you need to be!”

Set amongst 100-year old trees; tranquil and picturesque; just 4kms from city, shops, museum and wineries and Gisborne's beautiful surf beaches!
Once again this year we are establishing a special 4-day New Year Camp at Showgrounds Park.
This will operate from Monday 29 December 2008 to the morning of Friday 2 - Sunday 4 January 2008.
You may stay for any of those 6 nights but there is a four-night minimum for which you must pay.

With adequate
toilets and
showers and
food provided
on site, you are just
5 minutes from city and beaches but out of the bustle and near gridlock of the CBD!
Tariff: -
$80.00 per head for the total minimum of four nights.
Additional one or two nights either side of these dates can be booked at $20.00 per head per night if required, though you may need to be resited from Sunday 4 January on.
Note: - Cancellation Fee applies up to 1 December; no refunds after 1 December 2008.
The four day minimum stay, apart from our need to cover costs of additional infrastructure provided for the expanded camp, means you can
be assured of accommodation NOW, so that if you travel to Gisborne on Monday 29, you will avoid becoming a part of the accommodation bottleneck that the “day-trippers” are sure to encounter as the city overflows with Rhythm and Vines concertgoers and our normal holiday crowds.
Most importantly, not only will you enjoy the
spaciousness of Showgrounds Park, but depending on the size of your tent etc., you will be able to
park your vehicle on or adjacent to your roomy site – no walking; no carrying in provisions or music machines (just drive to your door)!
Unsafe or Misuse of Vehicles: -
will not be tolerated. Police will be advised of offending registration numbers, and s
security staff will prevent further access of those vehicles through the security barriers.
Security: -
no worries over security with our friendly and helpful but diligent 24-hour security team – we prefer to call them our Camp Hosts! – taking care of your interests.
There is nothing about the best of Gisborne that they can’t tell you.
However, you are responsible for your own property at all times.
Personal Identification:
wristbands will be issued at check-in; they must be worn at all times and are not transferrable. Lost or damaged wristbands may, upon presentation, be replaced at our discretion.
Visitors: -
to your campsite are allowed but conditions apply.
Noise: -
excessively loud noise (music or otherwise) will not be tolerated. You will be asked to keep the music down from 11:00pm; to turn it off from midnight (1:00am on New Year’s Eve). After that, you can expect Council Noise control officers to confiscate the source.
No Open Fires or BBQ’s
: - neither fires nor BBQ’s must be lit for any reason whatsoever!
Rubbish
: - take your own to the bins provided, especially bottles!!
Telephones
: - due to vandalism, there are
no phones available for public use on site. Campers must now rely on mobile phones for all local, national or international calls. Batteries MAY BE recharged at Camp Office.
Declaration
: - the PB A&P Association reserves the right to vary, cancel or decline any accommodation or tariff, and it is an express condition of acceptance that the Association will not be liable for any personal injury or damage to personal property whatsoever.
Any person who creates a disturbance which annoys other users of the camp, or who commits any criminal offence will be liable to immediate expulsion, and no refund of any fees paid will be allowed.
